my heart swells with news like this.

hello, how is the summer treating you? i am very well. i arrived home, in mexico city, two and a half weeks ago. its so nice to be here. all i've been doing is visiting and meeting up with family and friends. and eating lots of mango, mamey, papaya, guayaba, pineapple.

the happiest thing has been to met my new nephew, the first son of my friends pi & artur, only one week old and so, so, sweet and so small. i held him :)


this is my current mess, i am sticking and making collages of all the things i like on a notebook. finally, after years and years, i'm organizing little things i've kept or collected in the past, specially magazine and newspaper cuttings and things from trips, such as as irish bus tickets, boat tickets from hungary, museum flyers, etc.

i have been watching many films -i didn't go to the cinema in over a year. i know, unbelievable!- so i have some serious movie catching up to do. yesterday i saw happy-go-lucky and i enjoyed it a lot. it made want to learn to dance flamenco and jump in trampolines.

so many things are different. in a good way.

today is my last day in gothenburg.

i will wake up early, open the window and drink a glass of cool water, then i will make the coffee, and, while its ready, i'll prepare breakfast: fruit, muesli and yogurt. i will bring it to my room and sit on my bed, put on some music, and i will do my favorite blog reading while having breakfast. i like the morning routine a lot.

oh, i mustn't forget to stop by the city library to bring back the books and cds i borrowed. i also have to do the final cleaning in my room. at night we'll have a little dinner with my roommates. in between morning and night i have no set plan. perhaps i could go for a walk to the botanical garden. yes, i'd really like that.

funny, if i close my eyes and concentrate really hard, i can bring back the feelings i was feeling a year ago, when i was dreaming of my future life in sweden. i clearly remember when i wrote this. at moments it seems so far away, some other times, as if it was just last week.

a little storage keeps some of my belongings until i come back again next year.

things are changing, things are moving. and now, it's time to go.

delsjön

saturday we rode the bikes all the way to delsjön. it is so beautiful there. we walked for four hours and made a little picnic (home-made bread with jam & cheese and some saft to drink) next to the lake.

all along, the gray clouds threatened, but luckily, it didn't rain.

today was too pretty to stay inside. instead of packing, i headed to the park with my book and got a suntan.

on friday, there were midsummer celebrations at slottskogen, so my icelandic friends, katrín and vala, and i, went to check them out. we walked all the way from home and made a stop in the middle to eat some finnish candy.
