this is my grandfather benito. i love him so much even though i never met him as he died before i was born, even before my parents got married. according to pretty much everyone, he was such an amusing man. i like how most people remember him dearly.
·
i love the endless stories my mom tells me about him, the ones of their adventures out in the nature. i like to imagine them. he loved children and animals, also loved laughing out loud and making others laugh too.
·
i love how my mom's eyes lit whenever she speaks of him. and i know how much she really wishes me and my sister had met him. would have adored him with all of our hearts, she says. i bet we would have.
·
i've been scanning tons of photos of him. the fun ones above were taken in saint-jean-de-luz, the very first time he ever went to europe. we have absolutely no idea who the other three persons on the pics are and i guess they'll remain unknown forever, however, they seem to be having a great time. oh, and i am happy to be the owner of this suitcase that belong him back then.
·
i love photos and stories about grandparents, if you'd like to share, i'll be more than happy to listen!
·
thank you, my sweet friends for all your good wishes and encouraging words on my soon to begin swedish adventure, i deeply appreciate them. i am glad i have you, you make me smile all the time n_n
·
i wish you all very good and fun week!

Your Grandad looks awesome!!!
Oh I love Grandad's! My Grandad is from Spain (as is my grandmother) and they came over about 50 years ago. I love hearing his stories from back home, like stealing melons from farmer's fields.
When I was studying spanish in school he came in to give us a talk about Franco and life in Spain after the civil war and he broke down crying, it was so touching. I love my Grandad so much I named my dog Pepe after him!

That's my Nana and Grandad and Pepe jr.
He looks like he has quite the personality! I'm so happy that you have photos of him to get to know him through. :)
What a lovely thing!! To live your life in such a way that you are remember with smiles, respect and love!
I come by way of Madame Pomadore At Le Petit Cabinet.
Have a lovely day and weekend!
